Nine Steps to Parenting with Love and Logic

The final PIE (Parent Information and Education) Night of the year was held on Monday April 12, 2010 and featured Paul R. Rosell, M.S. C.C.B.T., LEP, Psychologist and Certified Love and Logic Facilitator. As a school psychologist and father of 8 children, Rosell sees that children today are dramatically different than even 5 years ago. They seem less motivated, less responsible, more apathetic, and less driven. This generation, known as Gen M, or Generation Multitaskers, is being raised as digital natives in a society filled with screens and ever improving technology. The average student today texts 7,000 times per month and some are concerned that this is leading to an addiction to electronic media. More time online is leading to children that exhibit behavior that is passive resistant and passive aggressive. Parenting with Love and Logic offers suggestions and ideas to improve parent- child relationships. Children need loving and supportive relationships with adults who believe in them. Love and Logic is not about getting children to behave, but to get them to think.
