Classical Academy Online (CAO) allows students to learn at any time, any place, any pace. Online courses allow students to access course content from anywhere that provides Internet access. Online students have face-to-face and virtual access to credentialed teachers, and have opportunities to come on campus for standards-based lessons, AP reviews, science labs, and all extracurricular activities. The Cyber Cafes are open Tuesday – Friday and provide a comfortable and studious atmosphere in which students can work on their lessons or meet with their teachers. Many UC approved A-G courses and advanced placement courses are available through the online program.
Family- Oceanside or Escondido
The Family Program provides the most flexibility for students and families. Families may choose from several options which include choosing their own curriculum, following the CAHS UC approved coursework, choosing online courses, and/or taking community college courses. All coursework must meet or exceed the California State Standards. Credentialed educational specialist teachers help to guide each family and are familiar with how each course choice aligns with the school’s educational standards. Students will have contact with the Educational Specialist (ES) weekly (or at the discretion of the ES) to review and assess student progress towards learning objectives. Students and parents will conference with the ES nine times per year – at the beginning of the year and during the middle and the end of each of three quarters.
