It is a core belief at The Classical Academies that every partnership starts with trust, builds on collaboration, and culminates with accountability. The cornerstone of The Classical Academy program is the partnership parents and teachers share. Teachers, working with parents, create individual learning plans for students that can include technology, classroom learning, labs, electives, and independent study options to complete their assigned academic program. This partnership allows students to excel and thrive in a personalized learning environment to best meet student needs and aspirations.
As part of the parent partnership, we begin each year with a one day conference for parents called Jumpstart. This conference offers a keynote address and numerous, educational breakout sessions throughout the day. Topics target the needs of new and returning homeschooling families, grade level and content areas, and relevant topics for parents who need support. For even more support, parents can subscribe to our Partnering with Parents Podcast and hear from team members throughout the school year on pertinent topics. This podcast can be found on our website, on Google Play, Amazon’s Alexa, and iTunes.
Another way we partner is through our Parent Volunteer Program. This connects a parents’ skills, passions, and abilities with their school community. Parent volunteers are highly valued as their leadership and talents are an integral part of The Classical Academy’s success! The Classical Academy uses HelpCounter to manage volunteer needs. This allows the school to match talents with needs, keeping parents informed.
