It is a core belief at The Classical Academies that every partnership starts with trust, builds on collaboration, and culminates with accountability. The cornerstone of The Classical Academy program is the partnership parents and teachers share. Teachers, working with parents, create individual learning plans for students that can include technology, classroom learning, labs, electives, and independent study options to complete their assigned academic program. This partnership allows students to excel and thrive in a personalized learning environment to best meet student needs and aspirations.
As part of the parent partnership, we begin each year with a one day conference for parents called Jumpstart. This conference offers numerous sessions throughout the day targeting the needs of new and returning families, all grade levels and content areas, as well as relevant topics for parents who are taking on the educator role. For support year round, parents can subscribe to our Podcast and hear from team members throughout the school year on pertinent topics.
Another way we partner is thought our Parent Volunteer Program which was established to connect parents’ skills, passions, and abilities to their school community. Parent volunteers are highly valued as their leadership and talents are an integral part of The Classical Academy’s success! The Classical Academy uses HelpCounter to manage volunteer needs. This allows the school to match skills, talents and availability with needs, keeping parents informed.
Here at the Classical Academies, we believe strongly in parent education which is why we offer quarterly social emotional parent events. Parent/student meetings are held as a three-hour workshop during the first week of school.
Coastal Academy High School also provides a quarterly Parent University to provide parents with information and educational updates.
