CAHS sophomore, Raj Pabari, received the Honorable Mention award in the national PAYBACK Challenge Essay Contest. Next Gen Personal Finance (NGPF) hosted the contest with a goal of ensuring that all students leave high school with the skills needed to thrive in an increasingly complex financial world. Over 900 students from across the United States submitted essays after playing the college finance game, PAYBACK. Raj was only one of two students from California to receive an Honorable Mention. Raj received a financial award from NGPF to be used for education.
