Classical Academy High School’s two-person policy debate team, Madeleine Tseng and Raj Pabari, emerged as novice policy champions in the annual debate tournament held at Notre Dame High School in November. In addition to team awards at the tournament, individual speaker awards went to Tseng who placed fifth and Pabari who placed sixth in overall individual ratings.High school policy debate is a nationally competitive activity in whichteams debate a single topic throughout the academic year. This year’stopic is “Resolved: The United States federal government shouldsubstantially reduce its restrictions on legal immigration to the UnitedStates.”
