Classical Academy High School sophomore, Alexander Usher, was named to USA Fencing’s 2019-2020 High School All-Academic 1st Team for his combined athletic and academic excellence. He was also named to the All-American 2nd team for his athletic performance throughout the season. Alexander received these awards from USA Fencing President, Donald Anthony (pictured), at the National Championship tournament in Columbus, Ohio and will also be competing at the Junior Olympics in February 2020. Alexander has been an Epee fencer for three years at the San Diego Fencing Center in Escondido under Coach Juan Ignacio Calderon.
