Coastal Academy High School sophomore Caitlin Simmers placed second in the Nissan Super Girl Surf Pro contest, held in Oceanside this past weekend. Caitlin won the Super Girl Surf Pro the past two years and is the youngest competitor. “I have been watching the Super Girl since I was eight and am happy I did well in my hometown,” she stated. Caitlin will be competing in the World Surf League (WSL) Challenger Series and plans to compete in Portugal and Hossager, France, in the coming weeks.
