Engaging Students in Historical Research & Skills Development

National History Day San Diego welcomed 26 Classical Academy Middle School (CAMS) students to its competition. National History Day is a year-long national academic competition for students in grades 4-12. Students select a topic, conduct research, interpret a connection to the annual theme and present their work in one of seven media options. Students learn critical thinking, problem-solving, and gain self-esteem and confidence. The following students are being recognized for their accomplishments: Alexander Escobar, Banjamine Labine, Bridget Goode, Cerine Contreras, Chloe Fales, Cienna Flores, Dunkan Frakes, Evie Bradshaw, Gabriella Reichel, Gunner Silva, Haley Jeon, John Maddox, Katherine Gibson, Kelsey Ward, Lexi Gregor, Mackenzie Gorman, Malia Bordon, Mateja Schmidt, Maximus Avelle, Naomi Kautsky, Nathan Dann, Noemi Swearingen, Roland Rodriguez, Ryan Maddox, Shaylee Waldner, and Sullivan Brown.
