Students Win Robotics League Championship and Receive Prestigious Inspire Award

Classical Academy students Nicholas Usher, Seth Peace, and Alexander Usher led Team RoboctoPI in the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics competition this year, along with their teammates from High Tech North County and Valley Center High School. This first year (rookie) team won the Ptolemy League Championship, one of five leagues in San Diego County, and had the top ranked robot among all teams entering the San Diego Regional Championship tournament. Their proudest accomplishment was winning the League’s Inspire Award, which is given to teams who inspire others in the areas of design, engineering, and professionalism.
