At Tuesday’s all-team meeting, Executive Director Cameron Curry surprised the team by introducing Chris Ulmer, CEO of “Special Books by Special Kids.”
Chris is a special education teacher who began to crisscross the country and make sure “the lonely children are lonely no more.” He does this by visiting children with special needs and interviewing them with a simple camera, tri-pod, and light. By giving the oft-neglected children a voice and loving them, he brings joy and inspires them to reach their full potential. Ulmer reminded The Classical Academies, “It doesn’t take much to change the world…sometimes a smile, a hug, or saying ‘hello’.”
