Classical Academy High School (CAHS) alumna Julianna Veling has been honored with the Outstanding Choreographer Award by the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), the world’s largest global network for dance education. Veling received this prestigious recognition for her contemporary group piece, which stood out among numerous competitors. In addition to her YAGP success, she has earned accolades in various competitions across San Diego and Los Angeles counties. YAGP, a New York-based non-profit, is dedicated to nurturing world-class dancers aged 9-19 by offering scholarship auditions, performance opportunities, and educational support for dancers from diverse backgrounds. Through its extensive global network, YAGP connects students, teachers, schools, dance companies, and audiences, encouraging the development of young talent in dance.
