Coastal Academy High School is proud to recognize Max Petrenko as a Rising Star! Originally from Russia, Max moved to the U.S. as a child and relocated to Oceanside during his freshman year. Determined to stay ahead academically, he enrolled in MiraCosta College courses while excelling in CAH’s most challenging classes.

Max’s dedication and leadership shine through his roles as a club president, school band leader, and presenter at a college research conference. Graduating in three years, he plans to pursue mechanical engineering at a four-year university this fall.

In partnership with the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce, the Rising Star program celebrates students who demonstrate character, perseverance, and academic excellence.
