Over 1,000 hundred students at The Classical Academy, Escondido participated in the Pasta for Pennies program and raised over $8,100 in three weeks for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Students collected spare change in their classrooms and hosted a jog-a-thon on campus. This is the 20th year that The Classical Academy has participated in this national fundraiser. Annually, each classroom competes to raise the most money and the winning classroom wins lunch from The Olive Garden restaurant. The winning class this year was the fourth grade classroom.
