Coastal Academy High School and The Classical Academy have been selected as Sprouts Farmers Market's Community Garden Grants recipients. These grants will support the creation and expansion of garden programs focusing on sustainability, environmental education, and healthy living. Coastal Academy High School will use its grant to build a brand-new community garden. The garden will serve as an outdoor classroom where students can cultivate fresh produce and explore sustainable practices. Students will engage in hands-on learning about gardening, nutrition, and environmental stewardship. The Classical Academy will apply its grant to expand its existing garden, further enhancing its program by adding an outdoor sink and wash station. The expansion will allow for increased student participation.
