Coastal Academy students received top honors in the 2018 Greater San Diego Science and Engineering Fair. The following students science projects were awarded First Place: Elizabeth Cullum, Hurricane Proof House,Aaron McKeeman, SwellSpark Turns Ocean Swells Into Electric Energy, and Anna Nunez, You're Stressing Me Out! Second Place was awarded to Narnia Choi, Killing Bacteria on Smartphones, and Raj Parabi, SmartBox - System to Provide Wireless Access to Online Educational Resources Without Internet.Anna, Elizabeth and Aaron will compete in the California State Science Fair this April.
