Last week, the Assembly Education Committee Chairman Patrick O'Donnell presented AB1316 to the legislature. The bill, which will severely impact charter public schools, passed out of the committee on a vote of 5 to 2. The bill will now head to the appropriations committee for another discussion and vote.Our democracy is as relevant today as it always has been, and it is as strong as the people who interact with it to ensure its place by the people, for the people, and of the people.
