The Classical Academies are excited to embark on a new journey toward academic success by introducing the "4 Disciplines of Execution" (4DX) framework. At the heart of this initiative is our Wildly Important Goal (WIG), where 100% of Classical Academy students will grow by at least one academic year in English Language Arts (ELA) and/or math by June 2025.

Here’s how we plan to reach this ambitious goal using the 4DX model:

1. Focus on the Wildly Important Goal (WIG)

• This year, we are focused on improving students' skills in ELA and math. By focusing on these key subjects, we’re strengthening foundational learning that will benefit students for life.

2. Act on the Lead Measures

Lead measures are the specific actions that drive progress. For this goal, our teachers will:

• Provide WIN (What I Need) time—individualized support sessions or small group instruction based on the essential standards.
• Participate in Professional Learning Community (PLC) collaboration, where teachers and administration work together to align their teaching with essential standards.

3. Keep a Compelling Scoreboard

We will track progress by creating a visual scoreboard to monitor student growth and achievements throughout the year. Parents can expect updates through the weekly Academies Newsletter to stay informed on our progress as a community.

4. Create a Cadence of Accountability

Accountability is critical to staying on track and the organization will do the following:

• Hold weekly reviews of the WIG during PLC meetings.
• Discuss successes, challenges, and next steps during monthly leadership meetings.
• Engage students in peer accountability sessions, where they will reflect on their progress and set new goals based on the lead measures.

Parents play a vital role in helping us reach our goals! Here are some ways parents can support this initiative.

• Talk with your child about their progress in ELA and math.
• Celebrate their achievements, no matter how big or small.
• Create a supportive environment at home for reading and math practice.
