The Coastal Academy High School Culinary Arts program recently received a generous grant from the Thomas C. Ackerman Foundation. This funding will support the program's expansion and provide essential resources to prepare students for careers in hospitality. The program was started in 2015 and recently moved into a state-of-the-art Culinary Arts kitchen at the new Coastal Academy High School campus. Under the guidance of French-trained chef Asley Tarr, students gain hands-on experience, master advanced culinary techniques, and explore food and nutritional science. The program emphasizes essential life skills such as time management, problem-solving, leadership, and critical thinking. The Classical Academies extends sincere gratitude to the Thomas C.
